College Life

 Mrs Sengupta, Vivek Sir also guided us when we were looking for a junior college for Sarthak after he completed his Std 10 from VIdya Valley School and Mrs Sengupta even accompanied us for his admission to DLRC [Direct Learning Resource Centre] from where he completed his Std 11 and 12. He opted for a 2-year Cambridge AS/A Level program and excelled in it.

I am grateful  to the  Co-founders of DLRC [Drive Change Learning & Resource Centre]  Ajay Dalmia Sir and Mona Dalmia  and also Pavan Iyenger who welcomed Sarthak with open arms since they also believe in inclusive education and all of them are dedicated educators with a firm belief in learning by doing. We could not think of a better institute for Sarthak keeping in mind his physical limitations. They always encouraged Sarthak and provided support by whatever means possible,sometimes even  going out of the way like calling his attendant whenever Sarthak had to be shifted to another floor or room. Sarthak’s favorite color was red so for going to college we bought a red-colored car[Wagon R] for him.  Sarthak enjoyed his college life normally with enthusiasm and excitement.

His physical restrictions made him all the more determined to do something big and to prove everyone wrong who used to feel pity for him.

He was blessed with a gift of drawing brilliant sketches with so much of youthful creativity which even a normal kid may not be able to. His drawings were made with such a passion which actually brought life to all his amazing sketches. Keeping his option alive, he started exploring career choices in the field of art. Since he also used to enjoy playing games with his friends, he pursued his interest in the same field and chose to do his graduation in Game Design [Designing of Online Games.] from Seamedu,private institute affiliated to Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth,Pune.

He graduated in the year 2022 with flying colours scoring A + Grade which indeed is a remarkable achievement for a child with no physical movement possible, proving his grit and will power to conquer the world.
