Our Neighbours
To start with, One name I would like to mention is my friend, [Nidhi Bisht] in society. Her son, Kushagara, also used to study in Vidya Valley, he was of the same age as Sarthak. Since I used to go to school, she used to take care of Sarthak on days working for me and holiday or half day for only children. She used to pick up Sarthak from the bus along with his son, gave him medicines and food and took care of him like her own child. It’s very hard to find such empathetic, helpful and caring people nowadays. We consider ourselves lucky to have such friends in our life making our life’s journey smooth.
We our also grateful to our next door neighbor, Yashodhan Joshi who helped us initially when Sarthak was walking with a limp by sending his car with a driver to pick up Sarthak from the bus stop while coming back from school since his children also used to come back at the same time. Secondly, whenever Sarthak’s father was on an official tour. Everyday before going for a morning walk, he used to help me in lifting Sarthak and making him sit on a shower chair since both Sarthak and I have to be ready for school. We did not have a regular attendant that time, no one was ready to come early in the morning however, our neighbors extended their full support which truly was a blessing for us.

Sarthak’s Caretaker

Above all, Vishnu, Sarthak’s attendant role is the most appreciative and played a very important role in his life, since he took care of Sarthak for almost 9 years as his own brother, selflessly. He started looking after him from Std 9 till the end. It’s really remarkable as he never took a single day off and never refused to do anything we asked. With his support Sarthak was able to go to school, college, to malls, to watch movies, visit friend’s place, for a coffee and various tourist places near Pune. We are grateful to Sarthak’s lucky stars to have such a person, it helped us to move on without any worries and stress.
