Chairperson and Principal

Vidya Valley School

We went to meet Sarthak’s school Principal, Mrs Nalini Sengupta and Chairperson Vivek Gupta to talk about his condition and to solve our problems and queries related to school. They both were God sent for us, they helped us to calm down, gave us unrelenting support without thinking twice. They sent a car for Sarthak  for almost 7 years without even missing a single day. Its not easy for any of us to spend the whole day just sitting/sleeping in 1 position, not even able to move your hands and legs. This was sarthak’s life for almost 10 years since he turned a teenager.

Despite his physical limitations, he managed to go to school each day and completed his studies like a normal child. Being absent from school was a rare occasion for Sarthak. They used to make sure that Sarthak does not miss out on various activities and events held in school like annual function, sports day, excursions, class photographs.etc. Kudos to them for such a generous heart and compassion, it’s really remarkable, so much to learn from them.

Mrs Sengupta extended her full support and encouragement to help him lead a normal school life. Sarthak school teachers, friends also used to take care of him showing their sensitivity towards a special child. He was part of all the group activities and was never left out. It was a boon for us when on our request the attendant, a bus conductor,Sachin was provided by the school to take care of Sarthak in the school, taking him out of the car in morning, taking him to various classes [games, extra curricular activities] according to the time table, so that Sarthak does not restrict himself only to the classroom, dropping him at home.
